2 men killed in separate shootings Saturday in Montgomery

Two men were killed Saturday in separate Montgomery shootings.

Police on Monday identified the victims as Ronel Gomez, 26, and John Moore, 56, both of Montgomery.

Authorities were dispatched at 9:42 p.m. to the 3600 block of Gas Light Curve on a report of a person shot.

Capt. Raymond Carson said the wounded Gomez was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Less than two hours later – at 11 p.m. – officers and fire medics responded to the 3600 block of Kelly Lane. They arrived to find Moore dead on the scene.

Additional circumstances surrounding the shootings have not been released, and no arrests have been made.

The men are among three people killed in the city over the weekend.

Summer Blackmon died early Sunday after, according to court records, after she was hit in the head with a dumbbell. A suspect has been charged.
