SeaWorld Orlando offering free beer for 60th anniversary

SeaWorld is celebrating it’s 60th anniversary and, to help patrons get in the celebratory spirit, free beer is being offered at the parks, including SeaWorld Orlando.

With the park’s 7 Seas Food Festival already in high gear, SeaWorld is offering each guest a complimentary draft beer at the Waterway Grill Patio between 11 a.m. and one hour prior to park closure (closing times range from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Check the schedule here).

Guests are limited to one free beer per day, unless you’re a SeaWorld annual passholder, in which case you can belly up to the bar for two freebies.

The Orlando Sentinel reports the park is also launching a Happy Hour on Wednesdays, which runs from 4 p.m. until park close each day. During happy hour, draft beer and cocktails are buy one/get one free.

SeaWorld says the free beer offer is for a limited time, but hasn’t announced when last call will be.

The Sentinel notes free beer at SeaWorld dates back to when the park was owned by Busch Entertainment, a division of Anheuser-Busch, with the company often making samples of its products available to park-goers. The 60th anniversary celebration is tied to the opening of the first SeaWorld in San Diego in 1964.

SeaWorld Orlando opened on Dec. 15, 1973, a little over two years after neighboring Walt Disney World.
