He’s a country music superstar and American Idol judge. He’s also added entrepreneur to that list, so now Luke Bryan is bringing his upscale cigar shop and lounge to the Alabama coast.

Bryan’s Shore Thing Cigars is set to open soon in The Wharf entertainment district in Orange Beach, according to the Orange Beach Association. Bryan is no stranger to The Wharf, having performed in front of 10,000 people at its open-air amphitheater.

“The Orange Beach area has always been an amazing place for music, fishing, and beach life,” Bryan said. “The opportunity for Shore Thing Cigars in that area just seems like a perfect fit – a gathering place people can get together, relax, and enjoy a drink and a cigar.

“The Wharf has always been one of my favorite venues and I am honored to have Shore Thing Cigars in the area.”

Once opened, the Orange Beach location will be the second Shore Thing Cigars, joining the original location in Watersound, Fla.

According to the company, “Shore Thing Cigars is like no other cigar experience you have seen. The stand alone building is completely open and bright with filtered fresh air and a unique lifestyle lounge. Local draft beers and wines available by the bottle and glass compliment the large walk in humidor, full of hand crafted premium cigars.”

Bryan’s business partner, Paul Copeland, has been in the cigar industry for nearly 15 years.

Similar to the one in Florida, the Orange Beach location will host karaoke nights on Fridays and an “all day every day happy hour,” according to OBA.

In addition, a “backstage” area is being built to allow guests who purchase an annual membership to enter a private lounge with lockers which serve as humidors for cigar enthusiasts. A backstage membership also includes a gift card and invitations to private events, liquor and cigar pairings, and more.
