Coca-Cola has recalled its popular sports drinks due to potential foreign metal objects
The Coca-Cola Company has voluntarily recalled a total of 902 cases of Powerade products because of the potential presence of a foreign metal object.
The recall, initiated in February with the Food and Drug Administration, is ongoing.
The recalled products are:
- 387 cases of Powerade Zero Mixed Berry with lot codes 0013098209, 0013111742, 0013111657, and 0013119902
- 366 cases of Powerade Mountain Berry Blast with lot codes 0013098209, 0013111742, 0013111657, and 0013119902
- 149 cases of Powerade Zero Fruit Punch with lot codes 0013098209, 0013111742, 0013111657, and 0013119902
The expiration dates on the products are Nov. 11, 2024.
Food Safety News reported the object is a small metal ring. People with the drinks are advised not to use them and either return to the place of purchase or discard.
