Auburn WBB junior guard McKenna Eddings enters transfer portal

Auburn junior guard McKenna Eddings has entered her name into the transfer portal, AL.com confirmed Monday night.

The War Rapport’s Mike Giddens was first to report Edding’s intentions.

Eddings, who just finished her junior campaign, averaged 4.7 points and 1.4 rebounds per game last season as she averaged 12.9 minutes per game.

Down the stretch of Auburn’s season, which ended in the play-in round of the NCAA Tournament, Eddings was playing some of her better basketball. In Auburn’s loss to LSU in the SEC Tournament, Eddings posted a season-high 15 points as she went 3-for-5 from beyond the arc.

Should Eddings go on to transfer, the 2023-24 season will have been her first and only at Auburn.

Before coming to The Plains, Eddings played at Moberly Area Community College for two seasons, where she averaged 14.6 and 16.2 points per game, respectively.

Eddings started her career during the 2020-21 season at Stetson University, where she appeared in just nine games and averaged 1.2 points per game.

With Eddings looking to transfer, Auburn now has two players in the transfer portal as sophomore guard Sydney Shaw entered the portal on March 27.
