A Winfield man has died after crashing his motorcycle Friday night, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

James D. Nuckols, 29, was driving his 2005 Suzuki C50 Boulevard motorcycle on Lamar County 41 when his motorcycle left the road and hit a sign. The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. near Alabama 18, about 15 miles southeast of Vernon, in Lamar County

Nuckols was pronounced deceased at the scene. The ALEA Highway Patrol Division said it will continue to investigate the crash.
