Each Thursday during the spring sports season, the Press-Register will rank the seven top high school performances from the Mobile area.

Coaches may nominate a certain performance by emailing [email protected] or [email protected]. Nominations also come from roundup information submitted by coaches.

The Press-Register staff then votes on the top seven performances of the week. Here are this week’s honorees:

7. Tripp Carter, Orange Beach (baseball): Carter shut out Bayshore Christian with a 7-inning complete game. The Makos won 9-0 as the senior struck out 6 and gave up 5 hits.

6. Ja’Terralyn Hamilton, Faith Academy (track and field): The senior won a pair of events and was third in another in the Battle of the Bay #2. She won the 100-meter dash in 12.63 and the 200-meters in 26.78. Hamilton finished third in the 400-meter dash at 1:07.40.
