Hoover dominates girls big-school basketball in the state.

The Bucs have won 10 championships in the state’s biggest classification and reached the title game six more times.

Hoover was the only Birmingham area girls team to win a title this season, the Bucs earning their fourth straight Class 7A championship.

Hoover downed Hewitt-Trussville for the title while Huffman played for the Class 6A championship as six area teams advanced to at least the regional final.

Pelham and Shades Valley won to the regional final as did Class 5A Pleasant Grove.
