Jefferson County deputy sheriff arrested on domestic violence charges
A Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy is on leave following his weekend arrest on domestic violence charges.
Deputy Terry Wayne O’Neal, 38, was booked into the Shelby County Jail on Sunday. He is charged with two counts of third-degree domestic violence, according to jail records.
The arrest was made by Alabaster police on Sunday in the 100 block of Arrowhead Trail. No additional details have been released.
Jefferson County sheriff’s spokesman Henry Irby confirmed O’Neal has been placed on leave.
O’Neal was released from the jail on bond Monday.
