A man was critically wounded after he was shot Tuesday afternoon in Montgomery, police said.

Officers and fire medics responded to the 1200 block of Eastdale Circle around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday on a report of a person shot, said Montgomery police Maj. Saba Coleman.

Authorities found a man who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound, said Coleman.

The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
