Comedian Bert Kreischer, once named by Rolling Stone as the “top partyer at the No. 1 Party School in the country” (Florida State University), is on tour this spring.

Kreischer, whose life was the inspiration for the films “National Lampoon’s Van Wilder” and “The Machine,” will perform at the Legacy Arena at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center on April 12.

Kreischer is known for his shirtless stand-up routines and for telling the story of how he got his nickname, “The Machine.”

He has appeared on late night talk shows including Late Show with David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Conan. His comedy specials include “Bert Kreischer: The Machine” on Showtime and three specials on Netflix. He also produces various podcasts.
