Gardendale has 12 on High School Football America academic team

High School Football America released its fourth annual Academic All-America team with 118 football players from the state of Alabama.

All players achieved at least a grade point average of 3.7 while being a varsity contributor last season.

Gardendale placed 12 players on the team while Hewitt-Trussville and Huntsville each had six players listed.
