Fitness studio brings second location to Homewood’s The Edge
Fitness studio True40 will open its second Birmingham-area location at Homewood’s The Edge.
A multi-functional outdoor gathering space in Homewood, The Edge is located in the 800 block of Greensprings Highway and will feature food, drink, fitness, retail, and entertainment experiences.
True40 offers high-intensity, low-impact exercises inspired by barre, functional strength training, Pilates, and yoga. The method, founded in Auburn in 2016, has studios in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa and Auburn.
The Homewood location will fill 2,007 square feet within The Edge’s 5,000-square-foot Phase 2 space, dedicated to fitness and retail. Micro-retail units are still available, with a customizable ground floor space for future partners.
“We have been waiting for the right fit for our next location, trusting it would reveal itself at the right time,” Kaitlyn Bentley, True40 Studio CEO, said. “The Edge is an amazing opportunity for us, and we love that we will be included in a mix of local owner operators. We are thrilled to bring the magic of our community for movement to the West Homewood area.”
Other tenants announced are Corbeau Wine Bar, Baba Java Coffee, Popbar, The Standard, The Que*Bicle, Shin Ramen Noodle and Asian Cuisine and Cookie Plug.
The Edge co-owner J.J. Thomas called True40 a “great addition.”
“Homewood is an active community with a focus on fitness and True40′s commitment to fostering health and inspiring movement fits seamlessly with our mission to create a dynamic space where people can come together,” Thomas said.
