Arrest made in deadly Easter shooting in north Alabama

A suspect has been arrested and charged with murder in the deadly shooting of a man on Easter in north Alabama.

Lazarrell Dewayne Fennell, 42, is being held in the Jackson County jail without bond in connection with the death of 31-year-old Deuntae Jarrod Johnson, WAFF reported.

According to police, officers were called to 207 W. Willow St., to Warehouse 207 at about 1:20 a.m Sunday.

Johnson was found lying in the parking lot, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was transported to Highlands Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
