The Way Home is scheduled to premiere on the Hallmark Channel Sunday, Jan. 15 at 9/8c.

Those who have already ditched regular cable can still watch the premiere live with Philo or FuboTV.

Philo is one of the cheaper live-streaming services charging its users only $25 a month with over 60 channels to choose from live and on-demand.

Popular live channels offered with the streaming service include A&E, MTV, AMC, HGTV, History Channel, Discovery Channel, CMT, BET and more.

Those who are fans of Lifetime or Hallmark in general can watch most of the networks’ films with Philo as well.

Meanwhile, FuboTV is one of the better alternatives for regular cable.

It’s a sports focused streaming service with over 100 other channels to choose from that include shows like Saturday Night Live, Yellowstone, The Voice and more for $69.99 a month.

Both streaming services offer free trials for first time users so you can watch The Way Home for free before committing to anything.

What is The Way Home about?

According to Hallmark, The Way Home is a family drama following the lives of three generations of women – Kat Landry, her 15-year-old daughter Alice and Kat’s mother Del, who are all strong, willful and independent.

More than 20 years prior, life changing events prompted Kat to move away from her small, Canadian farm town of Port Haven and she remains estranged from Del to this day. Alice has never met her grandmother and is unaware of the reasons for their fractured family.

With Kat’s marriage coming to an end and having just been laid off from her job, she decides to return home after receiving an unexpected letter from Del urging her to come back. Although Alice is none-too-thrilled, Kat and her daughter arrive at her family’s farm, though the reunion isn’t what Kat had envisioned.

As the three generations of women slowly work on finding their footing as a family, they embark on an enlightening – and surprising – journey none of them could have imagined as they learn how to find their way back to each other.

Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Sadie Laflamme-Snow, Evan Williams and Al Mukadam star.
