There were no changes at the top in the Week 8 AHSAA coaches’ soccer polls as the season moves into April – three weeks until the start of the state tournament with Sub-State play beginning for Class 6A on April 25 and for the rest of the classes on April 29.

The No. 1 teams in the two Super Polls – the ranking of the top 10 teams regardless of classification – also remain the same from last week. Oak Mountain at 17-0-1 is atop the boys’ poll and Spain Park, unbeaten in 15 games, leads the girls.

The top teams in this week’s polls are, on the girls’ side, Spain Park in Class 7A, Mountain Brook (8-2-2) in 6A, Springville (15-1) in 5A, Westminster Christian (9-1-1) in 4A and Donoho (9-0-1) in 1A/3A.

The boys’ top teams are Oak Mountain (17-0-1) in Class 7A, Mountain Brook (16-2-1) in 6A, Southside-Gadsden (17-0-1) in 5A, Montgomery Catholic (11-3) in 4A and Susan Moore (13-2) in 1A/3A.
