Trevor Lawrence celebrates epic Jaguars win at Waffle House
The Jaguars left the Chargers scattered, covered and smothered in an epic NFL playoff game Saturday night, as Jacksonville’s quarterback Trevor Lawrence appeared to celebrate the comeback with a late-night visit to Waffle House.
Various social media posts show Lawrence inside a nearby location after he threw four touchdowns en route to a victory that seemed far out of reach just a few hours prior to his visit. His wife Marissa Lawrence posted an Instagram story, writing “We have peaked” and showing their group taking up a few tables, as the quarterback takes a sip of coffee from a mug.
Lawrence threw four interceptions and the Jaguars lost another turnover on a punt as the Los Angeles Chargers built a 27-point lead in the first half of a Super Wild-Card Weekend game on Saturday night before Jacksonville back for a shocking 31-30 victory.
Taylor Curet, of WDAM in Hattiesburg, tweeted photos sent his way of Lawrence and friends entering the popular 24-hour eatery shortly after the Jaguars’ improbable victory in Florida.
Lawrence was in a good mood after the win, not only evidenced by his trip to Waffle House, but the former Clemson QB also tweeted the “They had us in the first half…” meme.
Lawrence and the Jaguars will await the results of Sunday’s games to find out their opponent for next week’s divisional round.
