Police search for 2 who ran after St. Clair County chase ends with spike strips, crash
A search is ongoing for two males following an early-morning police chase that started in Springville.
The pursuit started about 4 a.m. on Highway 11 in St. Clair County. Authorities have not yet released why they were chasing the vehicle.
The chase then moved into Argo where police used spike strips to deflate the vehicle’s tires. The vehicle wrecked on Highway 11 near Liles Lane.
One person was taken into custody, but two others fled on foot.
Tracking dogs from the Alabama Department of Corrections were brought to the area to help in the search.
The search then moved into Trussville when a resident reported seeing suspicious people walking near Carrington Drive.
The Trussville Police Department’s tracking dogs and drones have been deployed in the hunt.
