Needing a driver’s license in the Huntsville area? There will be a new destination next week.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Driver License Division is relocating its Huntsville office to 7262 Governors West.

The current office, at 1115-A Church Street, will close today, Wednesday, March 27, at 3 p.m.

Online services will still be available during the transition. Hours at the new location will remain the same, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Driver License Division Director Holley Cook said the new office will improve the customer experience.

“We are excited to announce the relocation of the Huntsville Driver License Office which will provide a more comfortable and efficient space for customers,” Cook said.
