Residents heard gunshots, but nobody alerted Mobile deputies; man found dead the next day
Investigators have begun investigating the shooting death of a male whose body was found in Mobile County Tuesday morning.
According to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, deputies located the body near the intersection of Chieftain Way and Iroquois Street, not far from Chickasaw High School.
There were several apparent gunshot wounds on the body. The man had no identification on him and as of Tuesday afternoon investigators still did not know his identity.
The sheriff’s office said residents in the area told investigators they heard multiple gunshots around 9:30 p.m. Monday night, but no one alerted law enforcement.
