There’s a new No. 1 in The Huntsville Times Power 5 with the top squad making a big jump in the rankings of the best teams in the Times’ coverage area.

The top team had a big week, beating a top 10 team in the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s top classification.

Now that spring break is over, baseball is rounding third headed for home – the AHSAA playoffs beginning April 19.
