Since at least 1965, Mobile has been included in a congressional district represented by a Republican from Mobile or someone who is intimately tied to Alabama’s Port City.

Jack Edwards, Sonny Callahan, and Jo Bonner were Mobilians. Bradley Byrne, who lived in Fairhope, is the current president & CEO of the Mobile Chamber. Jerry Carl served on the Mobile County Commission before he was elected to Congress.
