Lionel Richie, “American Idol” judge and acclaimed pop-R&B star, is out on his “Sing a Song All Night Long Tour” with Earth, Wind & Fire.
The two powerhouses of the 1970s-80s will perform in the Legacy Arena at the BJCC May 28. The tour brings Richie, a Tuskegee, Ala., native, back to his home state.
Richie started his career as part of the hit-making group, the Commodores, in the 1970s. During his solo career in the 1980s, Richie had a string of hits such as “All Night Long,” “Hello” and “Dancing on the Ceiling.” The multi-Grammy winner has been a judge on the singing competition “American Idol” since 2018.
He has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide.
