Live updates as Auburn takes on Florida in the SEC Tournament Championship
For the second time this season, the Auburn Tigers and Florida Gators will meet on the hardwood Sunday afternoon — except there’s a lot more on the line this time around as the two teams will meet on the floor of Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena with an SEC Tournament title hanging in the balance.
Auburn and Florida both advanced to the title game after similar experiences in the quarterfinals and semifinals.
While Auburn cruised by South Carolina in the quarterfinals with a 31-point win, Florida took care of business against Alabama with a convincing 14-point win of their own.
Meanwhile, come the semifinal, both the Tigers and Gators played in much tighter contests as Auburn squeaked past Mississippi State 73-66 and Florida survived against Texas A&M in a 95-90 win.
Now, the fourth-seeded Tigers and sixth-seeded Gators draw each other in the biggest game of the weekend, which is set to tip off at noon.
