Luke Bryan’s Nashville bar says it only served missing Missouri student Riley Strain one drink

Missing University of Missouri student Riley Strain was served a single alcoholic beverage before he was booted from country music star Luke Bryan’s Nashville bar, one of the last places he was seen before he disappeared last week.

“During Riley’s visit to Luke’s 32 Bridge, our records show he purchased and was served one alcoholic drink and two waters,” TC Restaurant Group, the bar’s owner and operator, said in a statement following allegations Strain had been overserved.

“At 9:35 p.m., our security team made a decision based on our conduct standards to escort him from the venue through our Broadway exit, at the front of the building,” it continued. “He was followed down the stairs with one member of his party. The individual with Riley did not exit and returned upstairs.”

The restaurant group also said it was cooperating with the Nashville Metro Police Department, providing them with security camera footage, photos taken of Strain at the bar, transaction records and staff accounts.

“Our prayers continue to be with Riley’s friends and family during this difficult time,” the group said.

Strain, 22, disappeared during a trip to Tennessee with his fraternity brothers for spring formal. He was last seen on security video just before 10 p.m. on March 8.

After getting kicked out of Luke’s, Strain told his friends he planned on returning to Tempo Hotel, where they’d been staying. But his stepfather, Chris Whiteid, in an interview on “Top Story with Tom Llamas” on Tuesday, said Strain never made it back to the hotel.

Surveillance video subsequently released by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department shows Strain crossing 1st Avenue North to Gay Street at 9:47 p.m., nearly a mile from Luke’s 32 Bridge and in the opposite direction of his hotel.
