Victim in Thursday night north Alabama crash had a ‘beautiful soul’

A woman was killed Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash in Limestone County.

Limestone County Coroner Mike West said Amber Lynn Lankster, 39, of Athens, died following a crash on Alabama 99.

The incident happened at about 7:49 p.m. near Sugar Way, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The crash also involved a pedestrian, according to Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey.

Lankster was remembered by friends and family on social media in several tributes. Ashley McAnaly wrote that she had “such a beautiful soul.”

Callie Modica, a cousin, wrote, “Amber you will be missed fly high and rest easy you maybe gone but you will never be forgotten!”
