Kentucky Wildcats National Championship odds: Calipari looking to reach the promised land yet again
The Kentucky Wildcats finished the regular season with an overall record of 23-8, and went 13-5 in SEC play. The Wildcats open SEC tournament play on Friday night, and will be looking to capture their seventh SEC tournament championship under John Calipari, and first since 2018.
Kentucky enters the SEC tournament on a bit of a roll, as they are riding a five-game win streak and have victories in seven of their last eight games. Currently ranked as the No. 9 team in the country, Kentucky is looking at a No. 2 or No. 3 seed in the NCAA tournament.
Calipari has led the Wildcats to four Final Four appearances since taking over the program in 2009, but the last Final Four appearance for the Wildcats came in 2015. Kentucky’s last Elite Eight appearance came in 2019.
The Wildcats boast a well-rounded scoring attack that put up 89.5 points per game in the regular season, which was tied for 2nd in all of college basketball. Five Wildcats average double digit points per game, led by Antonio Reeves with 20.2 points per game. Other scorers in double figures include Rob Dillingham (15.0), Reed Sheppard (12.7), Tre Mitchell (10.7), and D.J. Wagner (10.3).

When betting on March Madness odds, keep in mind that odds are subject to change on a daily basis. Odds can fluctuate based on a number of factors, but are most influenced by injuries and team performance. So, if the Wildcats fall flat in the SEC tournament, their national championship odds could get longer.
In addition, college basketball odds can vary from sportsbook to sportsbook. For example, while the Wildcats have odds of +1800 to win it all on DraftKings, their odds are a bit longer on FanDuel, where they are +2500.
