A motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday in Trussville.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the fatality victim as Martin Alexander Campbell. He was 29 and lived in Trussville.

The wreck happened at 5:10 p.m. in the 3200 block of Smith Sims Road.

Authorities said the motorcycle left the road and hit multiple trees.

Campbell was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:34 p.m.
