Mobile car dealership employee knew man he exchanged deadly gunfire with: Police

A Mobile car dealership employee knew the man he was arguing with Tuesday night when both of them armed themselves in the dealership parking lot and were shot, one of them fatally, police said Wednesday.

Mobile police have not said whether the slain victim was the employee at Palmer’s Airport Hyundai or the man he was in a confrontation with.

Officers responded to the dealership at 7860 Airport Blvd., where they found the employee and another man shot, said Mobile police spokesman Blake Brown.

The investigation revealed both victims knew each other, Brown said Wednesday.

The victims were taken to a local hospital where one of them died of their injuries Tuesday night.

Mobile Police Chief Paul Prine said both men armed themselves with guns during the dispute.

Further information was not released.
