The AHSAA coaches soccer poll for Week 4 features lots of changes at the top. Four No. 1 teams on the boys’ side changed with two new top teams on the girls’ side.

Spain Park, at 10-0, is the new No. 1 in the girls “Super Poll” – the ranking of the top 10 teams regardless of class. Last week’s top team was Vestavia Hills, which dropped to No. 3 on the list. Spain Park also took the top spot in the Class 7A poll where previous No. 1 Vestavia again slid to No. 3.

On the boys’ side, new teams took the top spot in Class 6A, 5A, 4A and 1A/3A. Mountain Brook (13-0) is the new No. 1 in 6A, replacing Homewood, now No. 2 at 7-2. In 5A, Southside-Gadsden (10-0-1) replaced now No. 3 John Carroll (7-2) in the top position. The new 4A No. 1 is Montgomery Catholic (7-2), replacing No. 2 Oneonta (5-6-1). The 1A/3A No. 1 is Susan Moore (8-2), moving ahead of former No. 1 St. Luke’s (3-3-1).
