Super Tuesday primaries: What time do polls open tomorrow? What time do they close?
Alabama is one of 15 states participating in Super Tuesday primaries.
Tuesday, March 5 is the day when the largest number of states will be holding presidential primaries or caucuses. Joining Alabama in holding primaries are Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and Virginia. Alaska and Utah are holding caucuses.
Leading the ballot are presidential contenders. President Joe Biden is the leading candidate for Democrats. Among Republicans, former president Donald Trump is leading former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley for the GOP nomination.

According to CBS News, more delegates are available on Super Tuesday than any other single date during the primary campaign. There are 865 GOP delegates available on the day out of the 1,215 needed to claim the presidential nomination. Democratic primaries will allocate 1,420 delegates out of the 1,968 needed to win the Democratic nomination.
Polls in Alabama open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Voters are required to present a valid form of photo identification before voting at their polling place. You can go here to see the list of accepted identification.
There are seven U.S. House of Representatives on Alabama’s ballot – including the race between incumbent Reps. Jerry Carl and Barry Moore, who face each other for GOP nomination after redistricting. Also on the ballot will be the race for Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice and various court positions, public service and state board of education seats and various county offices. If needed, the primary runoff in Alabama will be April 16. The general election is Nov. 5.
