Class 7A Boys final: Hoover wins 2nd straight title
Hoover used its flash-and-crash offense to win a second straight Class 7A championship.
Point guard Salim London flashed into the lane at will and finished with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, while 6-foot-9 tournament MVP Dewayne Brown crashed his way to 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Bucs (30-3) to a 59-34 victory over Enterprise in Saturday’s championship game at the BJCC’s Legacy Arena.
The Bucs led 32-19 at halftime and opened the second half with a 7-0 run and ran away with the victory.
Eric Winters led Enterprise (26-5) with 14 points.
Hoover also won the 7A girls championship with a 58-56 victory over Hewitt-Trussville earlier Saturday in the girls title game.
