Nick Dunlap records hole-in-one in PGA Tour tournament

When the year started, Nick Dunlap was a sophomore on the Alabama men’s golf team. On Friday, he scored a hole-in-one as a professional on the PGA Tour.

In the second round of the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches, Dunlap came to the par-3, 197-yard seventh hole at 2-under par for the day after a birdie on the first, a bogey on the second and an eagle on third to open the round.

Dunlap dropped his tee shot on the seventh at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., just short of the cup, and the ball took a bounce, then rolled into the hole as he moved to 8 under for the tournament.
