Metallica: Heavy metal legends’ Huntsville history
Metallica’s intersection with Huntsville occurred as the band was ascending from underground heroes to worldwide mainstream stardom. The band performed in Alabama’s Rocket City twice during this time: 1989 and 1992.
The former show was in support of “…And Justice for All,” the band’s fourth album, featuring “One,” the Vietnam-vet epic that put these San Francisco-via-Los-Angeles thrashers on MTV.
