Ole Miss’ Allen Flanigan won’t get SEC suspension for this flagrant foul
Ole Miss’ Allen Flanigan won’t face any additional penalties for his foul against South Carolina.
“All of the discipline was adjudicated by the officials during the game,” an SEC spokesperson told the Clarion Ledger on Monday.
On Saturday, Flanigan swung his elbow and caught South Carolina’s Zachary Davis in the head during the second half. The former Auburn basketball player was assessed a flagrant two and ejected. He will not serve a conference suspension.
South Carolina won 72-59 in which B.J. Mack scored 17 points and the No. 20 Gamecocks snapped a two-game losing skid. The victory helped the Gamecocks (22-5, 10-4 SEC) hold on to their spot among the top four teams in the conference giving them a shot at earning the double-bye in the conference tournament.
