Alabama High School Athletic Association soccer coaches released their first “Super Poll” for boys’ and girls’ teams regardless of their classification today, with a pair of Birmingham metro squads taking the top spots.

Oak Mountain’s boys’ team, coached by David DiPiazza, and the Vestavia Hills girls’ squad, coached by Brigid Meadow, came out on top of the Super Polls. Oak Mountain is 8-0 on the year while Vestavia is 9-0.

There was only one change at the top of the rest of the coaches’ polls as Donoho (2-0-1) took the No. 1 ranking in the girls’ Class 1A/3A poll. Westminster-Oak Mountain, the previous No. 1, dropped to No. 4 behind Cottage Hill and Altamont.
