Alabama could reach near record highs this week: How hot will it get?

Alabama’s spring preview is expected to continue for the next two days, and near-record high temperatures will be possible, according to the National Weather Service.

Highs today (Monday) are expected to reach the 70s statewide, and some spots in south and south-central Alabama will be very close to 80 degrees, according to weather service forecasts.

Tuesday could be a degree or two warmer, with highs expected to hit that 80-degree mark in parts of south and west Alabama and mid- to upper 70s expected in the rest of the state.
