Alabama severe weather: Structure damage, entrapments reported

There have been several tornado warnings issued for Alabama as of 8:15 a.m.

The NWS is getting damage reports from west of Moulton in Lawrence County and reports of people trapped in Winston County.

Multiple campers have been reported blown over off Highway 20 and Jay Landing, near the marina in Morgan County.

In addition, structural damage has been reported in Lawrence County near Moulton.

There are multiple damage reports coming into 911 in the area of Alabama 20 and Linde Lane in Morgan County.

According to HAM radio and 911 calls, 18-wheelers are overturned on Alabama 20 in Morgan County.

Mobile homes have been reported damaged near the intersection of 12th Avenue and Alabama 20 in Morgan County.

ALEA is reporting multiple roadways in Winston County with downed trees and powerlines. The affected roadways include Winston County 32, Winston County 81, and Winston County 28. Drivers are urged to only travel these roads in emergency situations.

Some school districts have announced closings or are going remote due to today’s severe weather threat.
