Poll declares Donald Trump worst president ever, here’s how Biden fared

Former president Donald Trump came in last in a recent survey from a panel of experts specializing in the American presidency.

The 2024 Presidential Greatness Project Expert Survey, conducted online from Nov. 15-Dec. 31, 2023, ranked each president on a scale of 0-100 for overall greatness. Zero was a failure, 50 was average and 100 was great.

As in previous surveys released in 2015 and 2018, Abraham Lincoln came in first with a 95.03 average. He was followed by Franklin Delano Roosevelt (90.83), George Washington (90.32), Teddy Roosevelt (78.58), Thomas Jefferson (77.53), Harry Truman (75.34), Barack Obama (73.8), and Dwight Eisenhower (73.73). Rounding out the top 10 were Lyndon B. Johnson (72.86) and John F. Kennedy (68.37).

Current President Joe Biden was 14th on the list at 62.66, ahead of Woodrow Wilson at 61.8 and Ronald Reagan at 61.62.

Trump was last on the list, rated a 10.92, behind James Buchanan (16.71), Andrew Johnson (21.56), Franklin Pierce (24.6), William Henry Harrison (26.01), and Warren Harding (27.76). Rounding out the bottom `were Millard Filmore (30.33), Zachary Taylor (32.97) and John Tyler (32.99).

Trump was also ranked as the most polarizing president, earning an average 1.64 with 1 as the “most polarizing” rank.  Others ranked as highly polarizing were Andrew Jackson, followed by Obama and Reagan. Washington was ranked as the least polarizing president.
