A 10-year-old girl was injured when suspects fired into the car in which she was a passenger, Mobile police said.

The incident happened Sunday just after 1 p.m.

Officers responded to the location at the intersection of St. Stephens Road and Jones Street.

Police learned a vehicle with four people inside, including the 10-year-old.

The four were at that location when unknown suspects in another vehicle opened fire, with one vehicle apparently grazing the child, who was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

No other injuries were reported and police have released no other details.
