Missing Alabama woman found dead in water, Eutaw man charged

An Alabama man has been charged with murder after the body of a missing Demopolis woman was found floating in water.

Demopolis police said Michael Moses Brown of Eutaw has been charged with murder in connection to the death of Sabrina Danielle Harbin, 35.

On Feb. 13, officers in Demopolis responded to a call related to a missing person from West Jackson Street’s MySpace Apartments. Officers were told Harbin walked away from the apartments and did not return. An investigation into Harbin’s disappearance resulted in a search using boats, drones and other equipment leading to the discovery of her body floating in the water on Friday. The exact location where the body was found has not been announced.

Her body was recovered by the Demopolis Fire Department and taken to the Department of Forensic Sciences for further examination.

Brown was taken back to the Marengo County Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
