The Alabama High School Athletic Association basketball tournament moved into Day 5 on Saturday with just one regional in action – the Northeast at Jacksonville State University’s Pete Mathews Coliseum.

Play continues for the second week on Monday with all four region sites in action – the Northwest at Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, the Central at Birmingham’s Bill Harris Arena, the South at Montgomery’s Garrett Coliseum and at Jax State.

Each day during the regionals, the Lede will rank the key efforts that highlighted the day. Here are Saturday’s key performances:

5. Landon White, Plainview (boys, Northeast)

The 6-foot-6 senior led the Bears with 13 points and 7 rebounds in a 64-29 win over Susan Moore. White made 6-of-11 of his field-goal tries in the runaway win. He played 24 minutes in the game.
