South Beach OBA, a $20 million gulf front residential development is under way in Orange Beach, one of several real estate deals of note in coastal Alabama in recent days.

The project on Perdido Beach Boulevard, just east of Turquoise, will feature four luxury homes, with two of those currently under construction. The lot sizes are 50 front feet on the gulf and 1,290 feet deep. The homes are priced at $4.95 million, according to Vicki Lynn of Vicki Lynn Real Estate, the listing agent.

Sted McCollough of McCollough Architecture designed the six-bedroom, 7.5-bath homes, each with a private pool. The developers are Mid South Companies.
