JD Crowe: Kay Ivey on lead guitar: ‘What song is she playing?’ caption contest

This is a rockin’ opinion toon caption contest.

Based on her campaign ads, we knew Kay Ivey was a sharp shootin’ gunslinger. But who knew Alabama’s governor was also a rockin’ music icon? Look at her, jammin’ and wailin’ away on lead guitar. But what song is she playing? You tell me.

It’s a caption contest.

I started this Kay Ivey caption contest this past Wednesday on my Crowe Jam newsletter, so my Jammers got a head start. They’ve been having so much fun with this theme, I’m spreading the love to you all.

If you haven’t subscribed, give it a shot. It’s free and drops in your email box every Wednesday morning. The caption contests are primarily for Crowe Jam subscribers, so you’ll always be among the first to get in on the action. You’ll also get some behind-the-scenes stories, nasty rumors about your neighbors, secret classified documents, nuclear codes and other just-for-fun stuff.

You can find my Crowe Jam newsletter and all the other fabulous AL.com newsletters right here.

Send your clever ‘What song is she playing?’ responses to my email – [email protected] – with the subject line “Kay Ivey guitar.”

If your caption is a winner, you could score a signed print – but only if you’re a Crowe Jam subscriber.

Send your captions to my email and let me know if you want to subscribe. I’ll send you a link.

Rock on, y’all. And let’s get Jammin’.
