A motorcyclist was killed in a Birmingham traffic crash.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the fatality victim as Ernest Anthony Stein III. He was 43 and lived in Center Point.

The crash happened at 6:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of Edwards Lake Road.

Authorities said the collision also involved a tree that had fallen across the road and pickup truck. No other details were released.

Stein was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:26 a.m.

Birmingham police are investigating.
