Hoover prioritizing mixed-use walkable communities under current master plan
The Hoover Planning & Zoning Commission is currently working to update the city’s first ever master plan, Future Hoover, that has been guiding development in the city since 2019. According to Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato, many of the city’s biggest projects have occurred as a result of that plan over the last five years.
“Stadium Trace Village, Brock’s Gap [Training Center], the development that’s going along Stadium Trace Parkway across from the Met [Hoover Metropolitan Complex] those are all mixed-use walkable communities,” he said. “And that’s what we continue to try to build in the city of Hoover anytime we have a development that is approved.”
