Huntsville partnering with private developer for $400 million Mill Creek project
The city of Huntsville and the Huntsville Housing Authority are partnering with a private developer to revitalize a distressed neighborhood near the city’s downtown core.
The Huntsville City Council approved a memorandum of understanding with private developer McCormack Baron Salazar for the $400 million Mill Creek revitalization project. The city will apply next week for as much as $50 million in federal funds for the project, which will consist of a mixture of low-income, affordable and market rate housing.
