The Mobile Area Mardi Gras Association celebrated its 86th anniversary Grand Marshal’s Ball on Friday, February 9 at the Mobile Convention Center. The celebration honored Grand Marshal Napoleon Bracy, the Democratic Alabama state representative for District 98.

The Grand Marshal’s Ball is MAMGA’s signature soiree, and each year the organization welcomes thousands of guests to eat, drink, dance and meet its Carnival court. King Elexis I Tyler Rice and Queen Taylor Nicks were on hand and introduced with much pomp and circumstance.

Music for the evening was provided by headliner Doug E. Fresh, the Alabama State University Marching Band, the Jukebox Brass Band, Re-Generation Band with Rechelle Cook, and DJ Jack Benny.
