Nick Pringleâs suspension continues: âWeâll see how long it takesâ
Alabama men’s basketball forward Nick Pringle’s suspension continues according to head coach Nate Oats. Pringle was suspended before the Crimson Tide’s Wednesday game against Georgia.
“Still not with the team,” Oats said Friday when asked about Pringle’s current status. “Being re-evaluated on a day-to-day basis. We’ll how long it takes if he comes back at some point.”
The suspension is Pringle’s second of the season. He missed the Arkansas State game in December for similar reasons, and returned after Oats said the two had talked through their issues.
The suspension was revealed on the SEC Network broadcast of the Georgia game, with Oats confirming it after the comeback Alabama win.
He’s gotta decide whether he wants to be a part of this program or not with some of his decisions and how he conducts himself. Nothing bad off the court or anything like that just in practice, in games, we’ll see where he goes. We’ll meet when I get back,” Oats said.
Pringle has averaged 5.2 points and 4.1 rebounds in 15.8 minutes per game so far this season. He wasn’t the only member of the Crimson Tide to miss the Georgia game, with Davin Cosby out with the flu.
Oats said Cosby has returned to full strength. Alabama will face Mississippi State Saturday at 7:30 p.m. CT in Coleman Coliseum.
The game will be aired on the SEC Network.
