Woman in custody after 2 Huntsville officers struck by vehicle, police say

Huntsville police say a woman was arrested Thursday after she struck two officers working a traffic crash with a vehicle.

The incident reportedly happened about 3:20 p.m. in a parking lot at 2801 South Memorial Parkway. Two South Precinct officers working a traffic crash were hit by a car.

According to police, while talking to one of the drivers involved in the original crash, the female driver of the car attempted to flee.

Both officers reportedly had minor injuries and were taken to Huntsville Hospital by HEMSI to be treated.

The driver was taken into custody later.

Kadieza Lannett Timmons, 22, was booked into the Madison County Jail on two charges of second degree assault of a police officer. She is being held on $30,000 bond, according to jail records.
